Who we are
Shelluna is an upcoming app for shell collectors and beachcombers. This website, shelluna.com, is operated by Small Smith Street, LLC, based in the USA ("Shelluna," "we," "us," or "our").
This policy explains what information we collect through shelluna.com and how we use it. When the Shelluna app launches, it will have its own privacy policy covering the app.

Information you give us
- Waitlist sign-up: your email address.
- Beta tester application: your email address and your answers to our short survey, such as the type of device you use, how often you go beachcombing, how you currently keep track of your finds, why you're interested in Shelluna, and your favorite type of shell.
- Messages: anything you choose to include if you email us.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our site, we and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to collect information such as:
- pages you visit, how long you stay, and links you click;
- how you arrived at our site (for example, from a Facebook, Instagram, or Pinterest link);
- device and browser type, general location (city or region, based on IP address), and IP address;
- whether you submitted one of our sign-up forms.
Tools and partners we use
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.): helps us measure how people respond to our Facebook and Instagram content and ads, and lets us show Shelluna ads to people who have visited our site. Meta may combine this information with other information it has about you under Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics (Google LLC): helps us understand how visitors use our site. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Website hosting and form services: our hosting provider and form-processing service store the site and the information you submit through our forms on our behalf.
How we use your information
- to let you know when Shelluna launches and share related updates;
- to choose and contact beta testers;
- to understand our audience and improve the app and website;
- to measure and improve our social media and advertising;
- to respond to your messages;
- to protect our site and comply with the law.
Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
How we share information
We don't sell your personal information for money. We share information only:
- with service providers that help us run the site, process forms, send emails, and measure performance (such as those listed above);
- with advertising partners such as Meta through the Meta Pixel, as described above. Some state privacy laws treat this as "sharing" or "targeted advertising," and you can opt out as described below;
- if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of Shelluna and others;
- as part of a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
Your choices
- Email: unsubscribe using the link in any email, or write to hello@shelluna.com.
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Ads based on your visits: manage your ad settings on Facebook and Instagram at facebook.com/adpreferences.
- Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Opt out of targeted advertising: email us and we'll honor your request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising. We're happy to honor these requests for everyone. Email hello@shelluna.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response.
How long we keep information
We keep waitlist and beta tester information until Shelluna launches and for as long as you stay subscribed or involved in testing, or until you ask us to delete it. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of the tools above.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no website or online service is completely secure.
Children's privacy
Shelluna's website is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date above. If the changes are significant, we'll let our waitlist know by email.
